1974 Caliper Sales and Services Ltd. was established when Rob Armstrong and Werner Heyer joined forces. Steady growth of the business afforded the addition of another building, thus, furthering the dream of Rob & Werner to build a complete repair, manufacturing machine shop.

1989 Caliper changed hands and was purchased by Wayne Fletcher. Further expansions included hydraulic services. These services saw steady growth until 1993 when local area coal mines were faced with possible closures.

1994 Caliper's slow and steady growth was still evident, even though the Forest and Mining industry were experiencing a sluggish recovery.

1998

Caliper Sales & Service once again changed hands. It was renamed to Caliper Machine & Hydraulics Ltd. The name change was a reflection of a new direction for the company.

New owners Mike Hambalek & Dave Detta had a vision of making Caliper the best full service repair and manufacturing machine shop in the South East corner of British Columbia and the South West corner of Alberta!

"Quality, Service and Expertise is Our Business" was quickly incorporated as the companies new motto. Goals were set high to bring the standard of all repairs

and manufactured parts to meet or exceed OEM standards.

Caliper has made

and building upgrades,

expanding yard and shop facilities to include much needed space for a

growing company.
